1. What is meant by personal information

As per the Privacy Act 1988, personal information is information such as name, contact number, email, postal address and occupation that can be used to identify a person. At Business Analysis Upskill we respect your personal information and take serious measures to protect it, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

2. What personal information do we collect

At numerous points we collect personal information from you. This includes (but is not limited to):

When you contact us or when interacting/communicating with you (via website contact us form, live chat, phone, SMS,  email or in-person), when you register to be notified of upcoming courses and sessions via website form, when we support you after the training as part of 'personalised support', when an invoice is sent to you, when you pay for the course, when we provide refund to you, when someone refers a person, when we collect testimonials, when we offer individual or group discounts, when we capture individual or group photos (with consent), when we collect information via landing pages during promotions, when we collect analytics data, and when collecting feedback or conducting surveys.

- Email
- Phone number
- Suburb
- Country/region
- Credit card information (name on the card, card number, expiry and CVV)
- Postal code /PIN code (for specific countries)
- Billing address (for specific countries)
- Bank account details (account name, BSB, account number)
- Photo (e.g., for testimonials, with consent)
- Video recording (e.g., for testimonials, with consent)
- Company name (in case of organisations and when collecting information via LinkedIn)
- Company contact person (in case of organisations)
- Company ABN (in case of organisations)
- Company email (in case of organisations)
- Company address (in case of organisations)
- Company country (in case of organisations)
- Not-for-profit registration certificate
- Information you provide during surveys

- Any other information you provide during your interaction/communication with us

- Job title

- Your resumé/CV (as part of personalised support)

- Analytics data (website traffic/statistics/user behaviour)

 

If we require any other personal information from you, we will do so only with your consent.

We use Wix Visitor Analytics to analyse website traffic stats and visitor behaviour. Currently we are using the 'Complete Protection' mode for highest visitors anonymity. We also use Google Analytics to analyse website usage statistics and visitor behaviour. Google's privacy and terms can be found here.

3. Reasons for collecting, storing, using and disclosing personal information

We collect, store, use and disclose your personal information for numerous reasons. This includes (but is not limited to):

- to take care of service payments (e.g., invoicing, payment processing, refunds, managing referrals, individual and group discounts etc.)

- to improve the quality of service we provide to you
- to analyse our website in order to improve our services
- to comply with regulations, law and directions from the government and law enforcement bodies
- to maintain business relationships with our business partners/third parties/vendors/suppliers
- to perform our business functions and other administrative duties
- to keep contact details and our records up-to-date

- to analyse website traffic stats and visitor behaviour

- when you register for an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session

- to provide you personalised support after the training

- when you register via website forms for future course notifications
- when you contact us to pay for the training course/service by direct bank deposit
- when you pay for a training course/service using your bank account or via credit card
- when we send you invoices or any refunds
- when you provide us referral information
- when we offer you individual or group discounts
- when we ask organisations for their Not-for-profit registration certificate
- when sending your training certificates (certificates of completion) or other training-related matter over emails
- when collecting testimonials/capturing individual or group photos/videos
- when performing our business functions and other administrative duties

- through LinkedIn lead generation form

- through landing pages when doing promotions

- through AMA (Ask Me Anything) session registration form

- as part of personalised support after the training

- via Wix Visitor Analytics, Google Analytics and Google Ads

 

For people nominated for training from their organisations: personal information may be collected from the authorised contacts in their organisation.

 

If we ever collect your personal information from any third party, we will seek their written confirmation that they have legally collected your personal information and that we are authorised to obtain your personal information from them and use it.

 

5. How is personal information stored and protected/secured

​

We treat personal information with utmost seriousness.

 

We take precautions to ensure that any personal information collected by us is protected from any unauthorised access/misuse/modification/loss/disclosure. Electronic personal information is stored in password-protected data stores and any physical/paper-based/printed personal information is stored in secure access-controlled premises. Access to systems and emails containing personal information is controlled via logins and passwords.

 

Furthermore, Business Analysis Upskill personnel are contractually bound by confidentiality obligations.

Note: The collected information is stored at various places, including but not limited to Wix (website hosting), Wix Visitor Analytics app (website/visitor analytics), Crazy Domain's mail servers (domain and email hosting), Stripe (payment processing), YouTube (video hosting), LinkedIn (lead generation form), Google (analytics and ads) and Survey tool (surveys).

We use Stripe for our payments processing and we do not store any credit card information locally in our website or internal systems.

6. To whom is personal information disclosed

​

We will disclose your personal information only to the following entities:

 

- Federal and state police, legal bodies/courts/government bodies if required as per law/tribunal order, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988.

- Our management team, trainers, contractors, casual workers, staff and any third parties/vendors/suppliers with whom we have commercial arrangements for marketing/advertising, business and other commercial reasons.

 

If we need to disclose your personal information to any other entity other than those listed above, we will do so only with your consent.

7. Accessing your own personal information

If you need to update your personal information or access your existing personal information, please write to us at info@BusinessAnalysisUpskill.com.au. We will respond to your request within 5 business days.

 

Please note that there may be circumstances where we may have to deny you access to your personal information, as permitted by the Privacy Act 1988. We will provide clear explanation to you for the reason for refusal, in those circumstances.
